Oxygenated Cardioplegia Preservation
Oxygenated Cardioplegia Preservation, or OCP, is an emerging preservation approach available as requested by clinicians. Use cases are primarily focused on donors where TA-NRP is not available, though it can be deployed in other scenarios as well.
In OCP, a cold, oxygenated blood-preservation solution is delivered via extracorporeal circulation. This approach is still in the early stages of being researched and tested, so widespread usage remains limited.
