Transportation Solutions Built by Transplant Experts

As the field of transplantation continues to advance, the industry needs transportation solutions that are equally innovative and capable of keeping pace with the clinical advancements shaping the future of transplantation. With recovery practices evolving, travel distances expanding, machine perfusion technologies increasing, and transplant programs continuing to seek new efficiencies, transportation networks must evolve alongside them. Our experience coordinating tens of thousands transportation legs and supporting thousands of cases annually has led us to develop an approach specifically designed for the realities of transplant.

Unlike traditional transportation brokers or operators, ProCure combines the strengths of both to create a flexible, case-specific network of solutions. Whether a program needs an end-to-end solution for recovery and transportation or transportation support for its own team or an organ, our approach is designed to meet the need.

ProCure’s comprehensive transportation network is built around four pillars: safety, clinically informed logistics, innovative operational efficiency, and financial stewardship.

Safety as a foundation

Every transportation decision starts with a simple question: Is this the safest and most reliable option for the transplant team and donor organ?

ProCure requires all contracted air charter operators to operate under FAA Part 135 regulations, ensuring compliance with rigorous maintenance, inspection, operational, and crew standards. In addition, operators must participate in recognized industry accreditation programs such as ARGUS, Wyvern Wingman, or IS-BAO.

We maintain relationships with both carefully vetted direct operators and select transplant-experienced brokers, creating redundancy without sacrificing standards. Every transportation partner is evaluated for safety credentials, operational reliability, and appropriate insurance coverage.

Clinically Informed Logistics

While any transportation company understands aviation, few understand transplantation. Our team of experienced procurement coordinators is well-versed in the nuances of recovery logistics and transplant operations.

Our team is trained to manage every aspect of transportation planning, from selecting the right aircraft to optimizing airport selection. We manage dedicated aircraft to provide the most efficient travel options, with training focused on matching the right plane to the right mission.

Innovative & Thoughtful Operational Efficiency

With the usage of various recovery solutions, centers going further for organs, and the ability for teams to manage varied approaches, ProCure utilizes our expertise in organ recovery to develop an innovative approach to transportation. Our nationwide air transportation network includes multiple solutions, allowing us to select the option that best meets the needs of each mission while maximizing cost efficiency.

In many regions we are able to partner with operators on specific high frequency mission parameters to minimize costs and optimize logistics. Through ProCure’s Preferred Operator Program (POP), we contract directly with operators nationwide, providing access to a network of more than 100 aircraft strategically positioned across the country. This allows for more predictable costs and scheduling reliability.

Using our distributed charter network, we supplement our program with broker agreements to handle overflow, longer-range and atypical missions. This allows us to maintain flexibility without owning unused capacity.

Financial Stewardship

ProCure is not tied to a single broker, operator, or fleet, giving us the flexibility to evaluate and bid out each mission based on the most efficient and cost-effective option.

Our approach ensures greater transparency and accountability throughout every mission. By consistently utilizing defined rates through our POP vendors, we create more predictable pricing. Our auditing process validates quote-to-bid accuracy and reviews flight and ground time, landing fees, fuel costs, and other charges to help ensure the price you are quoted is the price you pay. We also conduct case reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, supported by comprehensive financial and operational reporting that provide visibility into performance and costs.

Transportation in transplantation requires a partner who understands the clinical urgency and operational complexity behind every mission. By combining transplant expertise with a nationwide transportation network, rigorous safety standards, and a commitment to efficiency and transparency, ProCure delivers transportation solutions built around what matters most. As the field continues to evolve, ProCure is committed to evolving with it, bringing the expertise and infrastructure needed to build a nimble, efficient transportation network designed specifically for the demands of transplantation.
